Lisa Iaboni is a photographer, multimedia producer and graduate student in RISD's D+M program. She currently lives in Providence, Rhode Island and LOVES writing about herself in the third person!
Lisa was born on a cold November night in 1979 on Long Island. When she was seven she begged her mom to buy her a camera. She wanted to document the things she loved most in her life; My Little Pony's, Popples and the neighborhood's stray cats. Surprisingly she did not contract rabies and made it to high school, where she spent her lunch periods in the darkroom, listened to The Smiths and plotted her escape to New York City.
She had a sweet gig editing photography and producing multimedia and video for The New York Times website, then decided to go back to school to get her MFA. Although she didn't think it possible, she sleeps even less than when she worked nights in her early twenties.
If you like her work or want to talk about cats she'd love to hear from you. Email her!
