I finally got my 17-35mm fixed, and am trying to make a habit of carrying my camera with me everyday.
So, several Friday’s ago, after work, camera in tow, I met up with Maria. Her sister was walking in a friends “fashion show.”
Umm… not sure about the fashion part. But I took some pics.
Morning Commute: 9:15 am

"How do I look?" My response "Very shiny."
Me: “I walk by here every morning and I’ve never seen you out here.”
Him: “I’m always here. Between 8 and 10, then i go to Brighton Beach for another 7 hours.”
Me: “Really?”
Him: “Why? Do I look good?”
Me: “You’re very shiny.”
Him: “How old do you think I am?”
before I could answer…
Him: “50″
Me: “Whoa… you look pretty good. You don’t have any wrinkles.”
Him: “Have you ever had your palm read?”
Me: “Yes”
Him: “Come back later and get your palm read. My wife does it. She does it all over the world.”
Costa Rica
This was my first vacation that was truly a vacation; no museums, no overnight train rides, no food borne illness. So, I guess it was fitting that my lens was broken and I couldn’t take many pictures. Instead: I took surfing lessons, fell asleep in a hammock, saw an Italian yogi levitate and watched six consecutive sunsets.

The Golden Globes

Paula and Mike
I went to Paula and Mike’s wedding in Flushing last night. The event made me feel like what I imagine attending the Golden Globes is like. The ceremony took place in the reception hall while we all watched from our assigned seats. I LOVED IT. Just like my experience at a Hindu wedding….. you can come and go, chat and drink and the bride and groom are the only people who can’t wait for it to end. Catholics better start taking some notes.
